Now that’s what the little silver snaps are for

The year was 1897… Oh, wait that’s 1997. Cryssteen writes “We’re all sophomores at the Jr. Prom. I’m the awkward one on the right. This is the school’s method to keep us sober in the gym after prom. ” Apparently there was also gladiator games, wall climbing, velcro suits and, inexplicably, an Old-time photo booth. One of these things is not like the other…

Anyway. Given that a bunch of teenagers willingly changed from their prom regalia to the mildewed offerings of a gimmick photographer, the effectiveness of the “keep ‘em sober” strategy is suspect. Also, that appears to be an Uzi in the hands of one of the girls. While I’m not a gun nut or anything, I’m pretty sure those didn’t make their debut until WW2 or later.

Ed. note
: Google confirms that the Uzi was launched in 1950. Points for historical accuracy: Me, 1; Photographer, 0.

  1. I’m glad that my Prom or school didn’t do stuff like this to us. Well, except for the Senior Night party. But, that’s all the fun in not seeing your classmates for ten years, isn’t it? Congratulations your defeat against the photographer; I bet he didn’t think anyone would notice.

Haha, I want to say “was this to keep them sober or to keep them abstinent?!” LOL. Thinking about what I looked like in High School I am grateful this didn’t occur at my prom (as if I needed to look any worse)!
