Before we begin, let’s share in a moment of silence; it’s a downright tragedy that we cannot clearly see either of these prom-goers’ hairdos.
Have we properly mourned? Alright then.
I love that these friends wore such similar dresses. Off the shoulder? Check. Long A-line cinched at waist? Check. Lacey, table-dressing-inspired overlays? Check. Enough blue eyeliner and blue eyeshadow so as to suggest the dress is actually reflecting off the eyebrows? Check and check.
But it’s not like they don’t have their own personal style. Dina, on the left, opted for a primarily blue dress, and chose to go in the faaaar more subtle direction of lace that only protrudes from the neckline. As opposed to her friend’s dress, which may have begun with lace protruding from the neckline, but then got a little too full of itself and laced all over her. I mean, 3/4 of her top, the entire pouf of the sleeve, plus the whole skirt.
My favorite thing is, if you combined the top of Dina’s dress (two blue faux flowers) with the middle of her friend’s (one big pink ribbon), you’d have a giant happy face.
And that’s something totally worth smiling about.
